Nepal on Saturday reported 326 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 989,676.

Similarly, 334 people tested positive in a total of 2,740 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.

As of Saturday, 5,833,591 PCR and 1,297,476 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.

A total of 1,942 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.

The country reported one Covid-19 related death in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The countrywide death toll has reached 11,971 since the pandemic began.

According to the ministry, 972,064 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 444 of them in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 5,641.

In the past 24 hours, 31 new infections were reported in Province 1, five in Madhes Province, 234 in Bagmati, 11 in Gandaki, 14 in Lumbini and 31 in Sudurpaschim.

Nepal on Friday reported 529 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and one death. Similarly, 494 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and one death were recorded on Thursday and 509 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were reported on Tuesday.
