Nepal reports 638 new Covid-19 cases
Two new deaths were reported in the last 24 hours. Number of active cases stands at 3,714.Post Report
Nepal on Tuesday reported 400 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 984,475.
Similarly, 238 people tested positive in a total of 2,840 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.
As of Tuesday, 5,804,358 PCR and 1,268,978 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 2,215 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
The country reported two Covid-19 related deaths in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The countrywide death toll has reached 11,959 since the pandemic began.
According to the ministry, 968,802 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 218 of them in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 3,714.
In the past 24 hours, 36 new infections were reported in Province 1, 14 in Madhes Province, 260 in Bagmati, 53 in Gandaki, 22 in Lumbini, four in Karnali and 11 in Sudurpaschim.
Nepal on Monday reported 453 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and one death. Similarly, 303 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and two deaths were recorded on Sunday and 216 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were reported on Saturday.
