Nepal reports 456 new Covid-19 cases

Nepal on Friday reported 384 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 983,103.
Similarly, 72 people tested positive in a total of 1,670 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.
As of Friday, 5,795,611 PCR and 1,260,986 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 2,168 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
The country did not report any Covid-19 related death in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The countrywide death toll has reached 11,954 since the pandemic began.
According to the ministry, 968,308 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 80 of them in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 2,841.
In the past 24 hours, 66 new infections were reported in Province 1, eight in Madhes Province, 269 in Bagmati, 29 each in Gandaki, six in Lumbini, one in Karnali and five in Sudurpaschim.
Nepal on Thursday reported 317 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases. Similarly, 340 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were recorded on Wednesday and 268 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were recorded on Tuesday.
