Nepal on Thursday reported 317 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 982,719.

Similarly, 118 people tested positive in a total of 1,902 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.

As of Thursday, 5,793,443 PCR and 1,259,316 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.

A total of 1,667 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.

The country did not report any Covid-19 related death in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The countrywide death toll has reached 11,954 since the pandemic began.

According to the ministry, 968,228 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 56 of them in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 2,537.

In the past 24 hours, 82 new infections were reported in Province 1, seven in Madhes Province, 204 in Bagmati, 11 each in Gandaki, nine in Lumbini, one in Karnali and three in Sudurpaschim.

Nepal on Wednesday reported 340 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases. Similarly, 268 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were recorded on Tuesday and 386 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were recorded on Monday.
