Nepal on Monday reported 386 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 981,794.

Similarly, 71 people tested positive in a total of 2,310 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.

As of Monday, 5,787,357 PCR and 1,254,495 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.

A total of 2,341 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.

The country reported one Covid-19 related death in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The countrywide death toll has reached 11,954 since the pandemic began.

According to the ministry, 968,064 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 48 of them in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 1,776.

In the past 24 hours, 82 new infections were reported in Province 1, 10 in Madhes Province, 253 in Bagmati, 20 in Gandaki, 14 in Lumbini, three in Karnali and four in Sudurpaschim.

Nepal on Sunday reported 114 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases. Similarly, 152 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were reported on Saturday and 161 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were recorded on Friday.
