Nepal logs 22 new Covid-19 cases
According to the Health Ministry, 966,074 infected people have recovered from the disease so far and the number of active cases stands at 568.Post Report
Nepal on Monday reported 22 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 978,593.
All 1,172 antigen tests returned negative results, according to the Health Ministry’s daily situation report.
As of Monday, 5,580,272 PCR and 1,142,472 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 3,972 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
The country did not report any Covid-19 related death in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The countrywide death toll has reached 11,951 since the pandemic began.
According to the ministry, 966,074 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 46 of them in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 568.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 18 new infections in the last 24 hours. Of them, 16 were recorded in Kathmandu and two in Lalitpur.
In the past 24 hours, 19 new infections were recorded in Bagmati, two in Gandaki and one in Karnali.
On Monday, 11 individuals infected with the virus were being treated in intensive care units across the country. Another one was on ventilator support in Bagmati Province.
Nepal on Sunday reported three new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases. Similarly, 12 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were recorded on Saturday and 11 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were reported on Friday.
