Nepal logs 23 new Covid-19 cases
According to the Health Ministry, 965,625 infected people have recovered from the disease so far and the number of active cases stands at 899.Post Report
Nepal on Sunday reported 23 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 978,475.
All 1,277 antigen tests returned negative results, according to the Health Ministry’s daily situation report.
As of Sunday, 5,556,836 PCR and 1,130,571 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 5,847 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
The country did not report any Covid-19 related death in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The countrywide death toll has reached 11,951 since the pandemic began.
According to the ministry, 965,625 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 66 of them in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 899.
Kathmandu Valley recorded eight new infections in the last 24 hours. Of these, seven were confirmed in Kathmandu and one in Lalitpur.
In the past 24 hours, 10 new infections were recorded in Bagmati, five in Madhesh, three each in Province 1 and Gandaki and one each in Lumbini and Sudurpaschim.
On Sunday, 15 individuals infected with the virus were being treated in intensive care units across the country. Another two were on ventilator support in Bagmati Province.
Nepal on Saturday reported 10 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases. Similarly, 16 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were reported on Friday and 24 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were recorded on Thursday.
