Nepal on Saturday reported 10 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 978,452.

Similarly, one person tested positive in a total of 1,277 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.

As of Saturday, 5,550,989 PCR and 1,129,509 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.

A total of 2,083 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.

The country did not report any Covid-19 related death in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The countrywide death toll has reached 11,951 since the pandemic began.

According to the ministry, 965,559 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 90 of them in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 942.

Kathmandu Valley recorded three new infections in the last 24 hours. All three were found in the Kathmandu district.

In the past 24 hours, four new infections were recorded in Bagmati province, one each in Province 1 and Madhesh and two each in Gandaki and Lumbini.

On Saturday, 16 individuals infected with the virus were being treated in intensive care units across the country. Another two were on ventilator support in Bagmati Province.

Nepal on Friday reported 16 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases. Similarly, 24 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were recorded on Thursday and 25 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were recorded on Wednesday.
