Nepal logs 38 new Covid-19 cases
According to the Health Ministry, 963,861 infected people have recovered from the disease so far and the number of active cases stands at 2,453.Post Report
Nepal on Wednesday reported 34 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 978,265.
Similarly, four people tested positive in a total of 1,521 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.
As of Wednesday, 5,517,174 PCR and 1,116,719 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 3,855 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
The country did not report any Covid-19 related death in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The countrywide death toll has reached 11,951 since the pandemic began.
According to the ministry, 963,861 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 269 of them in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 2,453.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 13 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of which, all the cases were confirmed in Kathmandu district.
In the past 24 hours, three new infections were recorded in Province 1, eight in Madhesh Pradesh, 19 in Bagmati, one each in Gandaki and Karnali and two in Sudurpaschim.
According to the data released by the ministry, two districts–Kathmandu and Lalitpur–are home to more than 200 active cases each.
On Wednesday, 21 individuals infected with the virus were being treated in intensive care units across the country. Another two were on ventilator support in Bagmati province.
Nepal on Tuesday reported 35 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and one death. Similarly, 41 new PCR coronavirus cases were reported on Monday and 28 new PCR coronavirus cases were recorded on Sunday.
