Nepal logs 37 new Covid-19 cases
According to the Health Ministry, 962,200 infected people have recovered from the disease so far and the number of active cases stands at 3,241.Post Report
Nepal on Sunday reported 28 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 978,155.
Similarly, nine people tested positive in a total of 1,263 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.
As of Sunday, 5,505,846 PCR and 1,111,325 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 2,798 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
The country did not report any Covid-19 related death in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The countrywide death toll has reached 11,950 since the pandemic began.
According to the ministry, 962,200 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 382 of them in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 3,241.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 12 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of them, 10 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu and two in Bhaktapur.
In the past 24 hours, seven new infections were recorded in Province 1, one in Madhes, 14 in Bagmati, four in Gandaki and one each in Lumbini and Sudurpaschim.
According to the data released by the ministry, four districts are home to more than 200 active cases each.
On Sunday, 27 individuals infected with the virus were being treated in intensive care units across the country. Another five were on ventilator support in Bagmati province.
Nepal on Saturday reported eight new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases. Similarly, 12 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were reported on Friday and 22 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were recorded on Thursday.
