Nepal logs 27 new Covid-19 cases
According to the Health Ministry, 961,781 infected people have recovered from the disease so far and the number of active cases stands at 4,376.Post Report
Nepal on Thursday reported 22 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 978,107.
Similarly, five people tested positive in a total of 3,093 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.
As of Thursday, 5,498,412 PCR and 1,104,190 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 1,654 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
The country did not report any Covid-19 related death in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The countrywide death toll has reached 11,950 since the pandemic began.
According to the ministry, 961,781 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 220 of them in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 4,376.
Kathmandu Valley recorded nine new infections in the past 24 hours. All nine cases were confirmed in Kathmandu.
In the past 24 hours, nine new infections were recorded in Province 1, nine in Bagmati, and one each in Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim.
According to the data released by the ministry, five districts are home to more than 200 active cases each.
On Thursday, 28 individuals infected with the virus were being treated in intensive care units across the country. Another six were on ventilator support in Bagmati province.
Nepal on Wednesday reported 41 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases. Similarly, 59 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were recorded on Tuesday and 50 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were confirmed on Monday.
