Nepal logs 83 new Covid-19 cases
According to the Health Ministry, 961,348 infected people have recovered from the disease so far and the number of active cases stands at 4,746.Post Report
Nepal on Tuesday reported 57 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 978,044.
Similarly, 26 people tested positive in a total of 3,150 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.
As of Tuesday, 5,492,019 PCR and 1,096,562 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 4,734 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
The country did not report any Covid-19 related death in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The countrywide death toll has reached 11,950 since the pandemic began.
According to the ministry, 961,348 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 130 of them in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 4,746.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 15 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of these, 13 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu and two in Lalitpur.
In the past 24 hours, 11 cases were recorded in Province 1, one in Madhes Pradesh, 18 in Bagmati, nine in Gandaki, three in Karnali and six in Sudurpaschim.
According to the data released by the ministry, five districts are home to more than 200 active cases each.
On Tuesday, 30 individuals infected with the virus were being treated in intensive care units across the country. Another six were on ventilator support in Bagmati province.
Nepal on Monday reported 50 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases. Similarly, 59 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were confirmed on Sunday and 30 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were recorded on Saturday.
