Nepal logs 44 new Covid-19 cases
According to the Health Ministry, 963,592 infected people have recovered from the disease so far and the number of active cases stands at 2,688.Post Report
Nepal on Tuesday reported 35 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 978,231.
Similarly, nine people tested positive in a total of 2,099 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.
As of Tuesday, 5,513,319 PCR and 1,115,198 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 4,495 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
The country reported one Covid-19 related death in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The countrywide death toll has reached 11,951 since the pandemic began.
According to the ministry, 963,592 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 481 of them in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 2,688.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 13 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of which, nine cases were confirmed in Kathmandu and two each in Lalitpur and Bhaktapur.
In the past 24 hours, five new infections were recorded in Province 1, three in Madhesh Pradesh, 18 in Bagmati, four in Gandaki, three in Lumbini and one each in Karnali and Sudurpaschim.
According to the data released by the ministry, two districts–Kathmandu and Lalitpur–are home to more than 200 active cases each.
On Tuesday, 23 individuals infected with the virus were being treated in intensive care units across the country. Another two were on ventilator support in Bagmati province.
Nepal on Monday reported 41 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases. Similarly, 28 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were recorded on Sunday and eight new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were reported on Saturday.
