Nepal logs 51 new Covid-19 cases
According to the Health Ministry, 962,173 infected people have recovered from the disease so far and the number of active cases stands at 3,996.Post Report
Nepal on Friday reported 12 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 978,119.
Similarly, 39 people tested positive in a total of 3,322 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.
As of Friday, 5,501,055 PCR and 1,107,512 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 2,592 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
The country did not report any Covid-19 related death in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The countrywide death toll has reached 11,950 since the pandemic began.
According to the ministry, 962,173 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 392 of them in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 3,996.
Kathmandu Valley recorded eight new infections in the past 24 hours. All eight cases were confirmed in Kathmandu.
In the past 24 hours, one new infection was recorded in Province 1, nine in Bagmati, and one each in Gandaki and Lumbini.
According to the data released by the ministry, four districts are home to more than 200 active cases each.
On Friday, 27 individuals infected with the virus were being treated in intensive care units across the country. Another six were on ventilator support in Bagmati province.
Nepal on Thursday reported 22 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases. Similarly, 41 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were recorded on Wednesday and 59 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases were reported on Tuesday.
