Nepal logs 105 new Covid-19 cases
According to the Health Ministry, the countrywide death toll has now reached 11,944 and the number of active cases stands at 7,517.Post Report
Nepal on Thursday reported 70 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 977,269.
Similarly, 35 people tested positive in a total of 2,476 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.
As of Thursday, 5,433,187 PCR and 1,069,718 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 2,448 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
Three people died from Covid-19-related infections in the last 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry. The countrywide death toll has reached 11,944 since the pandemic began.
According to the ministry, 957,808 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 320 of them in the last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 7,517.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 25 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of these, 18 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu, five in Lalitpur and two in Bhaktapur.
In the past 24 hours, seven new infections were recorded in Province 1, five in Madhesh Pradesh, 42 in Bagmati, 10 in Gandaki, three in Lumbini, three in Karnali and one in Sudurpaschim.
According to the data released by the ministry, two districts are home to more than 500 active cases each, other eight districts host more than 200 active cases each.
On Thursday, 61 individuals infected with the virus were being treated in intensive care units across the country. Another nine—seven in Bagmati and two in Province 1—were on ventilator support.
Nepal on Wednesday reported 123 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and three deaths. Similarly, 92 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and two deaths were recorded on Tuesday and 119 new PCR confirmed coronavirus cases and one death were reported on Monday.
