National Covid-19 tally reaches 830,002 with 370 new infections

Nepal did not record any Covid-19 related deaths in the past 24 hours, the Ministry of Health and Population said on Saturday.
The country’s overall death toll due to the Covid-19 related complications stands at 11,601.
In the past 24 hours, the ministry said, the country recorded 370 new coronavirus infections, pushing the overall infection number to 830,002.
Similarly, 65 people tested positive in a total of 3,552 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.
According to the ministry, 813,176 infected people have recovered from the disease so far, 239 of them in the past 24 hours.
The active case count stands at 5,225.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 253 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of them, 209 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu, 26 in Lalitpur and 18 in Bhaktapur.
In the past 24 hours, 27 new infections were recorded in Province 1, 14 in Province 2, 278 in Bagmati Province, 28 in Gandaki, 15 in Lumbini, one in Karnali and four in Sudurpaschim.
As of Wednesday, 4,894,533 PCR and 839,504 antigen tests have been carried out across the country. A total of 6,715 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the data released by the ministry.
Eighty-four individuals infected with the virus were being treated in intensive care units across the country on Thursday. Another 14—two in Province 1 and 12 in Bagmati—were on ventilator support.
Nepal on Tuesday reported 355 new coronavirus cases and three deaths. Similarly, 291 new coronavirus cases and two deaths were recorded on Monday and 213 new coronavirus cases and two deaths were reported on Sunday.
