Nepal reports 252 new Covid-19 cases, three deaths
According to the Health Ministry, the countrywide death toll has now reached 11,577 and the number of active cases stands at 5,242.Post Report
Nepal on Tuesday reported 252 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 826,206.
Similarly, 38 people tested positive in a total of 4,616 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.
As of Tuesday, 4,784,231 PCR and 789,124 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 12,473 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
In its regular situation report, the ministry did not mention the death toll over the past 24 hours. It, however, reported three Covid-19-related fatalities.
The countrywide death toll has now reached 11,577. The number of active cases stands at 5,242.
According to the ministry, 809,387 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 232 of them in the last 24 hours.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 146 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of these, 90 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu, 38 in Lalitpur and 18 in Bhaktapur.
In the past 24 hours, 21 new infections were recorded in Province 1, 13 in Province 2, 160 in Bagmati, 26 in Gandaki, 17 in Lumbini, one in Karnali and 14 in Sudurpaschim.
On Tuesday, 95 individuals infected with the virus were being treated in intensive care units across the country. Another 25—three in Province 1, 19 in Bagmati, one in Lumbini and two in Sudurpaschim—were on ventilator support.
Nepal on Monday reported 218 new coronavirus cases and one death. Similarly, 133 new coronavirus cases and one death were recorded on Sunday and 158 new coronavirus cases and two deaths were reported on Saturday.
