Nepal reports 313 new Covid-19 cases, three deaths
According to the Health Ministry, the countrywide death toll has now reached 11,557 and the number of active cases stands at 5,824.Post Report
Nepal on Monday reported 313 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 824,535.
Similarly, 28 people tested positive in a total of 2,820 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.
As of Monday, 4,725,194 PCR and 763,325 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 10,416 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
In its regular situation report, the ministry did not mention the death toll over the past 24 hours. It, however, reported three Covid-19-related fatalities.
The countrywide death toll has now reached 11,557. The number of active cases stands at 5,824.
According to the ministry, 807,154 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 376 of them in the last 24 hours.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 172 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of these, 112 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu, 35 in Lalitpur and 25 in Bhaktapur.
In the past 24 hours, 31 new infections were recorded in Province 1, 20 in Province 2, 202 in Bagmati, 29 in Gandaki, 19 in Lumbini, three in Karnali and nine in Sudurpaschim.
On Monday, 126 individuals infected with the virus were being treated in intensive care units across the country. Another 33—seven in Province 1, 23 in Bagmati, one in Gandaki and two in Lumbini —were on ventilator support.
Nepal on Sunday reported 242 new coronavirus cases and one death. Similarly, 194 new coronavirus cases and one death were reported on Saturday and 232 new coronavirus cases and three deaths were reported on Friday.
