Nepal reports 238 new Covid-19 cases, two deaths
According to the Health Ministry, the countrywide death toll has now reached 11,543 and the number of active cases stands at 6,386.Post Report
Nepal on Monday reported 238 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 822,830.
Similarly, 27 people tested positive in a total of 1,503 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.
As of Monday, 4,669,794 PCR and 743,707 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 7,114 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
In its regular situation report, the ministry did not mention the death toll over the past 24 hours. It, however, reported two Covid-19-related fatalities.
The countrywide death toll has now reached 11,543. The number of active cases stands at 6,386.
According to the ministry, 804,901 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 357 of them in the last 24 hours.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 112 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of these, 79 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu, 23 in Lalitpur and 10 in Bhaktapur.
In the past 24 hours, 42 new infections were recorded in Province 1, 12 in Province 2, 138 in Bagmati, 23 in Gandaki, 20 in Lumbini and three in Sudurpaschim.
On Sunday, 114 individuals infected with the virus were being treated in intensive care units across the country. Another 32—eight in Province 1, 20 in Bagmati and two each in Lumbini and Sudurpaschim—were on ventilator support.
Nepal on Sunday reported 200 new coronavirus cases and one death. Similarly, 220 new coronavirus cases and five deaths were reported on Saturday and 246 new coronavirus cases were reported on Friday.
