Nepal reports 245 new Covid-19 cases, two deaths
According to the Health Ministry, the countrywide death toll has now reached 11,526 and the number of active cases stands at 6,931.Post Report
Nepal on Tuesday reported 245 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 821,366.
Similarly, 10 people tested positive in a total of 2,140 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.
As of Tuesday, 4,622,560 PCR and 732,814 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 4,329 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
In its regular situation report, the ministry did not mention the death toll over the past 24 hours. It, however, reported two Covid-19-related fatalities.
The countrywide death toll has now reached 11,526. The number of active cases stands at 6,931.
According to the ministry, 802,909 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 256 of them in the last 24 hours.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 104 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of these, 64 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu, 29 in Lalitpur and 11 in Bhaktapur.
In the past 24 hours, 34 new infections were recorded in Province 1, 14 in Province 2, 120 in Bagmati, 41 in Gandaki, 24 in Lumbini, four in Karnali and eight in Sudurpaschim.
On Tuesday, 116 individuals infected with the virus were being treated in intensive care units across the country. Another 33—10 in Province 1, 20 in Bagmati, two in Lumbini and one in Sudurpaschim—were on ventilator support.
Nepal on Monday reported 243 new coronavirus cases and one death. Similarly, 154 new coronavirus cases and two deaths were reported on Sunday and 197 new coronavirus cases and three deaths were reported on Saturday.
