Nepal reports 154 new Covid-19 cases, two deaths
According to the Health Ministry, the countrywide death toll has now reached 11,523 and the number of active cases stands at 6,966.Post Report
Nepal on Sunday reported 154 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 820,878.
Similarly, four people tested positive in a total of 2,314 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.
As of Sunday, 4,611,000 PCR and 728,017 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 6,604 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
In its regular situation report, the ministry did not mention the death toll over the past 24 hours. It, however, reported two Covid-19-related fatalities.
The countrywide death toll has now reached 11,523. The number of active cases stands at 6,966.
According to the ministry, 802,389 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 342 of them in the last 24 hours.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 61 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of these, 42 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu, 13 in Lalitpur and six in Bhaktapur.
On Sunday, 171 individuals infected with the virus were being treated in intensive care units across the country. Another 33—10 in Province 1, 20 in Bagmati and one in Gandaki and two in Lumbini—were on ventilator support.
Nepal on Saturday reported 197 new coronavirus cases and three deaths. Similarly, 242 new coronavirus cases and two deaths were reported on Friday and 281 new coronavirus cases and three deaths were recorded on Thursday.
