Nepal reports 281 new Covid-19 cases, three deaths
According to the Health Ministry, the countrywide death toll has now reached 11,516 and the number of active cases stands at 7,349.Post Report
Nepal on Thursday reported 281 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 820,285.
Similarly, 27 people tested positive in a total of 1,805 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.
As of Thursday, 4,591,660 PCR and 721,361 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 7,104 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
In its regular situation report, the ministry did not mention the death toll over the past 24 hours. It, however, reported three Covid-19-related fatalities.
The countrywide death toll has now reached 11,516. The number of active cases stands at 7,349.
According to the ministry, 801,420 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 298 of them in the last 24 hours.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 130 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of these, 78 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu, 36 in Lalitpur and 16 in Bhaktapur.
In the past 24 hours, 48 new infections were recorded in Province 1, nine in Province 2, 159 in Bagmati, 28 in Gandaki, 23 in Lumbini, nine in Karnali and five in Sudurpaschim.
On Thursday, 197 individuals infected with the virus were being treated in intensive care units across the country. Another 41—14 in Province 1, 18 in Bagmati and nine in Gandaki—were on ventilator support.
Nepal on Wednesday reported 305 new coronavirus cases and four deaths. Similarly,313 new coronavirus cases and nine deaths were recorded on Tuesday and 367 new coronavirus cases and four deaths were reported on Monday.
