Nepal reports 305 new Covid-19 cases, four deaths
According to the Health Ministry, the countrywide death toll has now reached 11,513 and the number of active cases stands at 7,369.Post Report
Nepal on Wednesday reported 305 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 820,004.
Similarly, 27 people tested positive in a total of 2,330 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.
As of Wednesday, 4,584,556 PCR and 719,556 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 7,590 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
In its regular situation report, the ministry did not mention the death toll over the past 24 hours. It, however, reported four Covid-19-related fatalities.
The countrywide death toll has now reached 11,513. The number of active cases stands at 7,369.
According to the ministry, 801,122 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 232 of them in the last 24 hours.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 181 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of these, 144 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu, 26 in Lalitpur and 11 in Bhaktapur.
In the past 24 hours, 32 new infections were recorded in Province 1, 13 in Province 2, 206 in Bagmati, 31 in Gandaki, 18 in Lumbini and four in Sudurpaschim.
On Wednesday, 206 individuals infected with the virus were being treated in intensive care units across the country. Another 40—11 in Province 1, 18 in Bagmati and 11 in Gandaki—were on ventilator support.
Nepal on Tuesday reported 313 new coronavirus cases and nine deaths. Similarly, 367 new coronavirus cases and four deaths were reported on Monday and 232 new coronavirus cases and one death was recorded on Sunday.
