Nepal reports 367 new Covid-19 cases, four deaths
According to the Health Ministry, the countrywide death toll has now reached 11,500 and the number of active cases stands at 7,269.Post Report
Nepal on Monday reported 367 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 819,386.
Similarly, 18 people tested positive in a total of 2,776 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.
As of Monday, 4,568,237 PCR and 715,781 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 9,921 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
In its regular situation report, the ministry did not mention the death toll over the past 24 hours. It, however, reported four Covid-19-related fatalities.
The countrywide death toll has now reached 11,500. The number of active cases stands at 7,269.
According to the ministry, 800,617 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 258 of them in the last 24 hours.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 170 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of these, 124 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu, 36 in Lalitpur and 10 in Bhaktapur.
In the past 24 hours, 49 new infections were recorded in Province 1, 12 in Province 2, 224 in Bagmati, 41 in Gandaki, 33 in Lumbini, one in Karnali and seven in Sudurpaschim.
On Monday, 230 individuals infected with the virus were being treated in intensive care units across the country. Another 55—16 in Province 1, 28 in Bagmati and 11 in Gandaki—were on ventilator support.
Nepal on Sunday reported 232 new coronavirus cases and one death. Similarly, 209 new coronavirus cases and one death were reported on Saturday and 271 new coronavirus cases and five deaths were reported on Friday.
