Nepal reports 339 new Covid-19 cases, four death
According to the Health Ministry, the countrywide death toll has now reached 11,482 and the number of active cases stands at 7,476.Post Report
Nepal on Tuesday reported 339 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 817,672.
Similarly, 38 people tested positive in a total of 2,644 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.
As of Tuesday, 4,520,580 PCR and 702,366 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 6,505 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
In its regular situation report, the ministry did not mention the death toll over the past 24 hours. It, however, reported four Covid-19-related fatalities, which included the number of deaths managed by Nepal Army on different dates.
The countrywide death toll has now reached 11,482. The number of active cases stands at 7,476.
According to the ministry, 798,714 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 170 of them in the last 24 hours.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 145 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of these, 101 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu, 33 in Lalitpur and 11 in Bhaktapur.
In the past 24 hours, 64 new infections were recorded in Province 1, 17 in Province 2, 179 in Bagmati, 30 in Gandaki, 36 in Lumbini, one in Karnali and 12 in Sudurpaschim.
On Monday, 219 individuals infected with the virus were being treated in intensive care units across the country. Another 59—nine in Province 1, 36 in Bagmati, 12 in Gandaki and two in Sudurpaschim—were on ventilator support.
Nepal on Monday reported 367 new coronavirus cases and one death. Similarly, 291 new coronavirus cases and six deaths were reported on Sunday and 260 new coronavirus cases and two deaths were recorded on Saturday.
