Nepal reports 367 new Covid-19 cases, one death
According to the Health Ministry, the countrywide death toll has now reached 11,478 and the number of active cases stands at 7,311.Post Report
Nepal on Monday reported 367 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 817,333.
Similarly, 49 people tested positive in a total of 4,848 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.
As of Monday, 4,514,075 PCR and 699,722 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 7,554 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
In its regular situation report, the ministry did not mention the death toll over the past 24 hours. It, however, reported one Covid-19-related fatality, which included the number of deaths managed by Nepal Army on different dates.
The countrywide death toll has now reached 11,478. The number of active cases stands at 7,311.
According to the ministry, 798,544 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 270 of them in the last 24 hours.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 187 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of these, 126 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu, 43 in Lalitpur and 18 in Bhaktapur.
In the past 24 hours, 45 new infections were recorded in Province 1, 15 in Province 2, 215 in Bagmati, 37 in Gandaki, 33 in Lumbini, two in Karnali and 20 in Sudurpaschim.
On Monday, 225 individuals infected with the virus were being treated in intensive care units across the country. Another 66—13 in Province 1, 40 in Bagmati, 12 in Gandaki and one in Sudurpaschim—were on ventilator support.
Nepal on Sunday reported 291 new coronavirus cases and six deaths. Similarly, 260 new coronavirus cases and two deaths were recorded on Saturday and 355 new coronavirus cases and three deaths were reported on Friday.
