Nepal reports 291 new Covid-19 cases, six deaths
According to the Health Ministry, the countrywide death toll has now reached 11,477 and the number of active cases stands at 7,215.Post Report
Nepal on Sunday reported 291 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours taking the nationwide infection tally to 816,966.
Similarly, 15 people tested positive in a total of 1,598 antigen tests, according to the Health Ministry.
As of Sunday, 4,506,521 PCR and 694,874 antigen tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 8,008 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the Health Ministry.
In its regular situation report, the ministry did not mention the death toll over the past 24 hours. It, however, reported six Covid-19-related fatalities, which included the number of deaths managed by Nepal Army on different dates.

According to the ministry, 798,274 infected people have recovered from the disease so far; 348 of them in the last 24 hours.
Kathmandu Valley recorded 113 new infections in the past 24 hours. Of these, 76 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu, 29 in Lalitpur and eight in Bhaktapur.
In the past 24 hours, 80 new infections were recorded in Province 1, 13 in Province 2, 127 in Bagmati, 25 in Gandaki, 13 in Lumbini, one in Karnali and six in Sudurpaschim.
On Sunday, 222 individuals infected with the virus were being treated in intensive care units across the country. Another 67—14 in Province 1, 40 in Bagmati, 10 in Gandaki, one in Lumbini and two in Sudurpaschim—were on ventilator support.
Nepal on Saturday reported 260 new coronavirus cases and two deaths. Similarly, 355 new coronavirus cases and three deaths were recorded on Friday and 301 new coronavirus cases and six deaths were reported on Thursday.
