Nepal’s Covid-19 toll reaches 2,773 with two more deaths
With 81 new infections recorded in the past 24 hours, the active case count stands at 967, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.Post Report
Nepal on Saturday reported two more Covid-19 related fatalities, pushing the death toll to 2,773. The country also recorded 81 new cases.
The overall infection tally has reached 274,065 with 967 active cases.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 270,325 infected people have recovered from the disease so far, 48 of them in the past 24 hours.
As of Saturday, 2,160,404 PCR tests have been carried out across the country.
A total of 2,824 PCR tests were performed in the past 24 hours, according to the data released by the ministry.
Four Covid-19 fatalities and 112 new infections were reported on Friday.
On Thursday and Wednesday, the ministry had confirmed 700 Covid-19 deaths that were not included in the ministry’s official count. The patients had died at their homes before November last year, according to the ministry’s spokesperson. Besides the unreported deaths, the ministry had also reported two deaths and 206 infections.
