LAMJUNG: Police have detained a 36-year-old school teacher from Besisahar, the district headquarters of Lamjung, on child molestation charges.
According to Police Inspector Thaneshwar Chapain, the suspect, a permanent resident of Darjeeling in India and has been teaching in a private school in Besisahar, reportedly lured a nine-year-old girl student to his room and committed the crime on Monday.
The Lamjung district court remanded the accused into custody for seven days for detailed investigation. Police claimed that the accused confessed to his crime.
