The chief of the district prison office in Nawalparasi East, Binod Kumar Dutta, has been arrested on a charge of corruption. 

A team from the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) detained Dutta with a bribe amount of Rs100,000 from his living quarters. 

The preliminary investigation shows that he received the bribe from an inmate by promising to appoint him as prison guard.
