One dead, another injured in road accident in East Nawalpasari

The sixty-eight-year-old woman was killed after the scooter she was riding pillion was hit by a school bus in Saraswati Chowk.

One person was killed and another was injured in a road accident in East Nawalparasi on Tuesday.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Bed Bahadur Poudel, 68-year-old Parvati Paudel died after the scooter she was riding pillion was hit by a school bus in Saraswati Chowk of Gaindakot Municipality-5.

Scooter rider Aashika Sapkota, 20, was injured in the accident. She is receiving treatment at the Chitwan Medical College, Bharatpur.

The bus driver has been taken into custody for investigation, police said.
