Fire destroys house in Lamjung

Fire destroyed a two-storey stone and mud house at Tallo Chipla in ward 5 of Marsyangdi Rural Municipality in Lamjung, on Wednesday night.
According to the District Police Office, the house belonging to Lapti Gurung Ghale was destroyed in the incident.
There was no human casualty but food grains, clothes, utensils and other valuables were destroyed in the house fire.
Preliminary police investigation shows that property worth around Rs1.8 million was destroyed in the incident.
The fire was caused by an electric short circuit, said police.
