Five vultures were found dead and a few others ill on the bank of Lokaha stream in Kawasoti Municipality-11 of Nawalparasi East on Monday.
It is suspected that the vultures died after feeding on a jackal carrion.
According to conservationist DB Chaudhary, the dead vultures are of Himalayan griffon and Red-headed vulture species. As many as 17 vultures were found dead near the Kerunge stream in Kawasoti.
