The bodies of 65-year-old Akshay Lal Chamar and his 9-year-old grandson were recovered outside their temporary shelter, on the banks of the Narayani river, in ward 3 of the rural municipality, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Resham Bohara.
Assault marks have been found on Chamar’s neck while the child was attacked on his neck and stomach, police said.
Chamar’s son is currently in India for work while his daughter-in-law had gone to visit her parents, Bohara added.
