One house was swept away and six were damaged in a landslide in Yarsa, ward 6 of Dharche Rural Municipality, on Sunday night.
According to Dhan Kumar Ghale, ward chair of Dharche-6, the landslide was triggered by a heavy rainfall on Sunday.
Along with the houses, several cattle sheds, kitchens, and other physical infrastructure were also damaged in the landslide.
The victims are taking shelter in their relatives’ and neighbours’ houses. Some other households that are at risk have been advised to stay on high alert, Ghale said.
