A single bench of Judge Diwakar Bhatta on Wednesday remanded a 51-year-old woman and her 20-year-old son, accused of killing Ujwal Paudel, senior sub-inspector and in charge of Bhimgithe Police Station in the district, into judicial custody for preliminary investigation.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Madan KC of the district police office, along with murder, both suspects are also charged with tampering with the police investigation.
The postmortem report confirmed Paudel was murdered. The investigation team of police also recovered a gold chain from one of the suspects, which belonged to Paudel, said KC.
