A head-on collision between a car and bus in Bhanu Municipality-9 on Saturday afternoon left five people injured, three of them seriously.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Mohan Bahadur Khand said the car heading to Dumre from Besisahar and the bus from the opposite direction collided.

A total of five people in the car including the driver sustained injuries in the accident.

Three seriously injured people are receiving treatment at the Chitwan-based Alive Hospital and Trauma Centre.

Tanahun District Police Office said they are further investigating.
