At least 27 passengers were injured when a bus met with an accident at Vyas Municipality-5 of Tanahun district along the Prithvi Highway on Monday.

The bus heading to Pokhara from Kathmandu skidded off the road and fell some 50 metres down, according to Police Inspector Raj Kumar BK.

A total of nine injured passengers have been sent to Pokhara for treatment while others are receiving treatment at Damauli Hospital.

Police said the mishap happened after the driver lost control of the vehicle.
