Around 200 people from Gaindakot Municipality have been taken ill after attending a marriage feast in Bharatpur, Chitwan on Friday.

Local Ekraj Sapkota said 70 people including him are undergoing treatment at the Chitwan-based National City Hospital.

“Most of them have complained of stomach ache. The majority of us got admitted on Sunday after no improvement even after taking home remedies,” said Sapkota.

He added that around 500 people attended the wedding.

Over 150 people in a village fell sick after attending a marriage feast at Chirtungdhara in Bagnaskali Rural Municipality, Palpa on Saturday.
