On-duty medical officer beaten up

A group of three miscreants beat up an on-duty doctor in Gorkha Hospital on Sunday.
According to Hari Kumar Shrestha, acting medical superintendent at the hospital, the assailants locked up Dr Abinash Parajuli in a hospital room and beat him over his alleged carelessness in treating a patient.
The hospital administration asked the district administration to take strong action against the guilty.
Search is underway to detain the suspects, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Lilaraj Lamichhane.
