Two killed and two injured in ambulance accident in Syangja on Sunday

At least two persons were killed and two others seriously injured when an ambulance fell off a cliff along the Waling-Chapakot road section in Waling municipality ward No.5 in Syangja early Sunday morning.
There were four people, including the driver, in the ambulance at the time of the accident on its way to Kathmandu.
“They were taken to the primary health centre in Chapakot. Two of them were declared dead while the two critically injured were referred to Pokhara for treatment," said District Police Spokesperson DSP Rajendra Adhikari.
The deceased were locals of Chapakot Municipality, said Adhikari.
“The ambulance driver, Surendra Bhandari and the third passenger, Pavitra Pokharel have sustained serious injuries," he said.
According to police, the cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained.
