Two squads announced for Mauritius friendlies

Nepali national football team coach Abdullah Almutairi has named two separate squads for two-match international friendlies against Mauritius scheduled for Saturday and Tuesday at the Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwar.
Both the sides, however, have 12 common players including national captain Kiran Chemjong and vice captain Sujal Shrestha from among a total of 34 players called for the closed camp.
Gautam Shrestha, Dinesh Rajbanshi, Devendra Tamang, Suman Aryal, Suraj Jeu Thakuri, Suman Lama, Tej Tamang, Anjan Bista, Bimal Gharti Magar and Aashish Lama are also in both the squads.
The Kuwaiti coach said that the motive of announcing two separate squads is to give more players the match exposure.
"I want the players to get exposure to international matches. This will help us prepare them for the future. I am expecting a good performance than the results," Almutairi was quoted as saying by the football governing body All Nepal Football Association (ANFA).
ANFA has decided to allow spectators in one third capacity of the Dasharath Stadium due to the pandemic with strict adherence to the government’s health protocol.
Tickets have been priced at Rs500 for the ordinary parapet and Rs1,000 for the VIP parapet. ANFA has also made vaccination cards mandatory for spectators to enter the stadium.
Both the matches will kick off at 16:45 NST. The games will be telecast live on Kantipur Television.
