Pakistan hands over new computer lab to Gyanodaya School
New facility to boost ICT education for higher classes.Post Report
Pakistani Ambassador to Nepal Abrar H Hashmi on Friday inaugurated and handed over a new computer laboratory at Gyanodaya Secondary School, Bafal, Kathmandu.
The donation, part of Pakistan’s continued support for education in Nepal, aims to enhance digital learning at the school, the embassy said in a statement.
The new laboratory is equipped with 42 computers, upgraded furniture, and flooring. It will serve higher classes, while the refurbished previous lab has been moved to the primary section to strengthen early ICT education.
Speaking at the event, Ambassador Hashmi praised the school’s management and community for their dedication and encouraged students to embrace digital education alongside their cultural heritage.
An announcement was also made for the establishment of Nepal-Pakistan Friendship Society at the school, the embassy said.
The embassy said it will continue support for the school’s music and sports societies, aiming to deepen educational and cultural ties between Nepal and Pakistan.
