Nepal and Bangladesh have unveiled the schedule for the 2027 ICC Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup, with the two co-hosts set to stage 41 matches over 17 days.

Nepal will host 15 matches across two grounds in Kathmandu, while Bangladesh will stage the remaining 26. The TU International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur will host six matches involving Group A, including Nepal’s fixtures, while Upper Mulpani International Cricket Ground will stage nine matches, including Group D fixtures.

Co-hosts Nepal have been drawn in Group A alongside two-time champions India, Ireland and the West Indies. Nepal will open their campaign against Ireland at 9:30am on January 22 at the TU ground in Kirtipur. They will face defending champions India on January 24 and the West Indies on January 26, with both matches scheduled for the same venue and time.

The 16 teams have been divided into four groups. Group A, to be played in Kathmandu, comprises Nepal, India, Ireland and the West Indies. Group B, in Chattogram, features South Africa, New Zealand, Pakistan and Samoa. Australia, Bangladesh, Nigeria and the United Arab Emirates make up Group C, which will be played in Sylhet. Group D, scheduled for Mulpani, includes England, Sri Lanka, the United States and Scotland.

Traditional rivals India and Pakistan have been placed in separate groups for security and logistical reasons.

The tournament will begin on January 21 with Bangladesh facing the UAE and Australia taking on Nigeria in Sylhet. In Mulpani, Sri Lanka will play Scotland before England meet the United States.

The top three teams from each group will advance to the Super Six stage. The top two teams from each Super Six group will qualify for the semi-finals, scheduled for February 4 at the Matiur Rahman Cricket Stadium in Chattogram. The final will be held at the same venue on February 6.

Nepal and Bangladesh have qualified automatically as co-hosts. The nine highest-placed teams from the 2025 edition, Australia, England, India, Ireland, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka and the West Indies, have also secured direct qualification.

The remaining five places went to teams through regional qualifying tournaments: Nigeria from Africa, Samoa from East Asia-Pacific, Scotland from Europe, the UAE from Asia and the United States from the Americas.
