Post Report
The United Arab Emirates has granted visas to the Nepal cricket team for their three-match Twenty20 series against the West Indies.
The team has received visas and would depart for the UAE on Monday, Chhumbi Lama, spokesperson for the Cricket Association of Nepal, said on Sunday.
The team had earlier planned to leave for the UAE on Friday.
Following the recent political unrest, the UAE has reportedly stopped issuing tourist and work visas for Nepalis.
Nepal will play the T20 series on September 27, 29, and 30 in Sharjah before heading to Oman for the T20 World Cup Asia–Pacific qualifiers. The team will later return to the UAE for the ICC Cricket League 2 matches against the UAE and the United States.
Head coach Stuart Law has already reached Dubai, and Fitness Trainer Abdul Sattar is set to reach the UAE from India.
