Unbeaten Nepal clinch ACC U-16 East Zone Cup title

Nepal have won the ACC U-16 East Zone Cup, defeating Singapore by two wickets in the final held on Saturday.
Chasing a modest target of 114 runs set by Singapore, Nepal reached the total in 29 overs, losing eight wickets in the process. Joy Thapa guided the chase with a composed unbeaten knock of 24 runs.
Earlier, after winning the toss and opting to bat first, Singapore were bowled out for 113 runs in 40.5 overs. Rohan Austin top-scored for Singapore with 23 runs, facing over 90 deliveries, while Rihan Naik added 15.
Nepal's bowling attack once again proved effective, with Abhay Yadav picking up three wickets for 34 runs in his 10 overs. Sushil Bahadur Rawal also claimed three wickets, while Shubham Khanal took two and skipper Bipin Prasad Sharma contributed with one.
Nepal remained unbeaten in the tournament defeating Malaysia, Bhutan and Indonesia from the group.
