Nepal loses to Thailand in the final match of Super Three
Thailand had set a target of 158 runs in 20 overs. Both the teams have already made it to the next round of World Cup qualifiers.

Thailand beat Nepal by 78 runs in the final match of the Super-Three stage of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier.
In the match held at Terdthai ground in Thailand on Tuesday, Nepal had to score 159 runs to win. However, Nepal could only hit 80 runs for a loss of 9 wickets in the 20 allotted overs.
The top three scorers in Nepal’s innings were Kabita Kunwar (24 runs), Rajmati Airee (20 runs) and Rubina Kshetri (12 runs). No other batter entered double figures.
Onnicha Kamchomphu claimed four wickets for Thailand. Similarly, Thipatcha Putthawong took three wickets, while Suleeporn Laomi secured one wicket.
Nepal had won the toss and chosen to bowl first. In the first innings, Nannapat Koncharoenkai scored a half century in 28 balls, including eight fours. Likewise, Nataya Boochatham made a half century in 42 balls, hitting five boundaries. Thailand’s Aphisara Suwanchonrathi and Natthakan Chantham scored 29 and 15 runs respectively.
For Nepal, Rajmati Airee and Manisha Upadhyay each took a wicket, but the bowling attack struggled to contain the Thai batters.
Both Nepal and Thailand had already secured their spots in the Global Qualifier for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup by defeating the UAE in their earlier matches.
