Army beat Gandaki by six wickets in Men’s PM Cup
Chase down 117-run target in 26.5 overs.

The Tribhuvan Army Club defeated Gandaki Province by six wickets in the Men’s PM Cup cricket tournament in Lamahi, Dang, on Friday.
Chasing a modest 117-run target, Army reached 118-4 in just 26.5 overs. Trit Raj Das top-scored with 37 runs off 68 balls, while Basir Ahmad remained unbeaten on 32 off 38 balls. Imran Sheikh added 12, Bhim Sarki made 14, and Sompal Kami stayed not out on 10.
For Gandaki, Chandra Paudel, Bipin Khatri, Subash Bhandari, and Sudip Aryal took one wicket each.
Earlier, Gandaki, opting to bat first after losing the toss, were bowled out for 116 in 30.3 overs. Arjun Kumal top-scored with 33 runs, while Deepak Dumre chipped in with 19 runs, Kamal Pariyar (17), and Captain Bipin Khatri (15). The rest failed to reach double figures.
Army’s Shahab Alam was the standout bowler, taking 5-42 in 10 overs. Kushal Malla grabbed 2-24, and Naren Saud took two wickets in just three balls. Alam was named player of the match for his five-wicket haul.
Army, second in the points table, have won six of their seven matches, collecting 12 points. Gandaki, at the bottom, have won just one of six games.
Organised by the Cricket Association of Nepal, the round-robin tournament, featuring three departmental teams and seven provincial sides, runs until March 29 in Rupandehi and Dang.
