Karnali Yaks set 176-run target against Chitwan Rhinos in NPL eliminator

Karnali Yaks have posted a competitive total of 175-6 in their 20 overs against Chitwan Rhinos during the Nepal Premier League eliminator at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur, on Wednesday.
Jaykishan Kolsawala and William Bosisto laid the foundation with crucial half-centuries. Kolsawala scored 53 runs off 39 deliveries, hitting six fours and two sixes, while Bosisto added 52 off 39 balls with three boundaries and two sixes. Chadwick Walton provided the late flourish with a quickfire unbeaten 46 off just 23 balls, including four fours and three sixes, helping Karnali recover from early setbacks.
Chitwan’s bowlers had a mixed outing. Sohail Tanvir was the standout performer, taking two wickets for 24 runs in his four overs. Kushal Malla, Ravi Bopara, and Sharad Vesawkar claimed a wicket each, with Bopara proving economical, conceding just eight runs in his two overs.
The Yaks faced a rocky start, losing opener Rit Gautam for a duck in the first over. Zeeshan Maqsood contributed 14 runs before falling, while Gulsan Jha and Dev Khanal managed only three runs collectively. However, partnerships between Kolsawala and Bosisto, and later Walton, ensured a strong total.
