Hong Kong defeat Nepal by 9 wickets

Hong Kong secured a comfortable 9-wicket victory over Nepal in the ongoing Hong Kong T20I Quadrangular Series held at the Hong Kong Cricket Club on Thursday.
Nepal, choosing to bat first after winning the toss, were punished for their poor batting show as they were bundled for 56 runs in 18 overs.
Rubina Chhetry fired four hits to the fences as she put 25 runs off 30 balls on the scoreboard. Chhetry was the only Nepali batter to score in double digits.
Opener Sita Rana Magar contributed 9 runs facing 13 deliveries while Roma Thapa managed an unbeaten 7 runs. Magar’s opening partner Puja Mahato was run out for a cheap 8-ball 4.
In reply, Hong Kong overcame the 57-run target in just 9 overs at the loss of one wicket.
For the hosts, opener Natasha Miles scored an unbeaten 30 runs off 22 balls. Miles’ opening partner Mariko Hill contributed 5 runs facing as many deliveries before being run out by Indu Barma.
Similarly, Shanzeen Shahzad muscled three fours putting 20 runs in her 27-knock play. Shahzad also remained undefeated.
